SHA considers extending participation in Moving to Work demonstration

Draft agreement available for comment

Seattle Housing Authority’s (SHA) current Moving to Work/Moving To new Ways (MTW) agreement expires in 2009. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has proposed an amended and restated Moving to Work (MTW) agreement that would enable SHA to maintain most of its current flexibility through 2018.

While some of the details still need to be worked out, SHA hopes to negotiate agreeable terms that will enable continued MTW participation. The draft extended agreement from HUD is available for review and comment by SHA residents and the general public.
