access to libraries and downtown Seattle and views
of the mountains and waterways. For more information

Community partnerships and The Partnership for High
Point’s Future were formed to advise SHA on the redevelopment of High Point.
This innovative community coalition includes West
Seattle civic leaders, neighborhood groups, High
Point residents, City of Seattle officials and SHA representatives.
In addition, a successful
redevelopment involves many partnerships with the
public sector, such as the City of Seattle and
Washington state, private investors and lenders,
local employers, foundations, faith-based service
organizations, community and supportive service
providers, and non-profit housing providers. Some
of these partners that offered invaluable help in
creating the plan are the High Point Community
Council, Sunrise Heights Neighborhood Association,
Morgan Junction Community Association, Delridge &
Southwest District Council, High Point Neighbors,
Highland Park Action Committee, West Seattle Chamber
of Commerce, and West Seattle Kiwanis.
