Seattle Housing is partnering with providers
to offer a variety of services at High Point:
Seattle Public Library The meeting room at
Seattle Public Library's new High Point
Branch was subsidized by the Seattle Housing
Authority. |
Puget Sound Neighborhood
Health Center SHA leased the land at no cost for 99 years to
Puget Sound Neighborhood Health Center for
their new High Point Clinic. |
Neighborhood
Center
SHA will co-develop a building with yet-to-be
determined partners. The building will include
multi-purpose space for non-profit providers
who promote self-sufficiency and provide
education. |
Retail
Block
A new mixed-use retail
block along 35th Avenue SW,
adjacent to the new clinic, will have a
grocery store, coffee shop, and other retail -
all within walking distance from all of
High Point. The selection of development
partners is underway. |
Neighborhood House
Two federal grants
totaling $1.8 million will provide
environmentally
healthy homes and reduce asthma among
children in West Seattle's High Point
mixed-income public housing community. SHA has
partnered with
Neighborhood House to make this happen.
