Neighborhood House’s new Rainier Vista Center offers a range of services for low-income residents, helping them to gain needed skills and move toward self-sufficiency. A community computer lab and Head Start program are complemented by job services and case management. The new center has already allowed the agency to expand programs for low-income children, adults, families and seniors, all under one roof.

The second phase of Rainier Vista will include a new Boys & Girls Club facility that will offer youth in Rainier Vista opportunities for physical activities, group activities and more. To view more about these and other service provider partners at Rainier Vista, click here.

Rainier Vista is a stimulating neighborhood with bright colors, images and original artwork at every turn. Whirlygigs will line the Columbia Way Boulevard and connect Rainier Vista artistically with nearby Columbia City. Residents can relax and visit on the custom-designed benches and park “furniture” placed throughout the neighborhood.

Some of the benches and cement features in Rainier Vista have embedded mosaics in them and were designed by the Children’s Museum. Murals created by students in the Artworks program have also been featured throughout the neighborhood.
