SHA
pioneers online application
SEATTLE—July 22, 2004—The
Seattle Housing Authority is among the first in the nation
to offer applicants for pubic housing the opportunity to
apply via the Internet. Developed by SHA communications
and technology staff members, the new Internet service
allows applicants to enter their information directly into
SHA's system, without having to generate a paper
application. Seattle Housing staff are hoping that the new
system will nearly eliminate data input errors, and will
allow applicants to work side by side with a case manager
or interpreter without having to actually come in to the
PorchLight housing center. To learn more about this new
feature, click
