Judith Fay Park dedicated Monday, June 25

 

SEATTLE—June 22, 2007—Join High Point friends and neighbors in a midsummer celebration at the new Judith G. Fay Park, located at the corner of SW Raymond St. and 32nd Ave. SW. The dedication will take place at 5 p.m. on Monday, June 25. Yesler Terrace community conversations provoke interest, engagement

 

SEATTLE—June 22, 2007—Since October 2006 the Yesler Terrace Citizen Review Committee has been meeting to discuss issues around the possible redevelopment of Yesler Terrace. Seattle's oldest public housing community, Yesler is suffering from gradual deterioration and is not sustainable into the future without major upgrading or redevelopment. The Citizen Review Committee has been developing principles to guide redevelopment, and is nearly ready to release a draft for public comment. Click here to read more.

 

'Save My Spot' now underway

 

SEATTLE—June 15, 2007—Beginning June 1, SHA's Low Income Public Housing program inaugurated its new waiting list check-in system. The new system is designed to move people into housing faster by keeping the waiting list updated on a monthly basis. People on the waiting list will verify on a monthly basis that they are still interested in moving into public housing. For more information, click here.
