November 22 event to assist hurricane victims relocated to Seattle

SEATTLE—November 17, 2005—A "Day of Housing and Resource Assistance" is taking place at the Washington State Trade & Convention Center on November 22 to make housing, services, and jobs available to hurricane victims in Washington State. This is especially important for families now living in hotels or motels because the federal government will no longer pay for such accommodations after November 30. homeWorks to renovate 22 SHA high-rises, starting with Greenlake Plaza

SEATTLE—November 17, 2005—The first of 22 high-rise renovations will kick off in December with a pre-construction meeting for the residents of Green Lake Plaza. SHA continues to adjust the mix of housing in its Scattered-Sites portfolio

SEATTLE—November 11, 2005—Seattle Housing has sold 64 of its 71 Scattered-Site public housing units identified for sale, and purchased 44 replacement units in neighborhoods throughout the city, as part of a three-year plan to adjust the mix of housing in its public housing Scattered-Sites portfolio.
