17, 2005—A
"Day of Housing and Resource Assistance" is
taking place at the Washington State Trade &
Convention Center on November 22 to make
housing, services, and jobs available to
hurricane victims in Washington State. This is
especially important for families now living in
hotels or motels because the federal government
will no longer pay for such accommodations after
November 30. Seattle Housing will participate in
the event to connect families with available

SEATTLE—November
17, 2005—The first of 22 high-rise
renovations will kick off in December with a
pre-construction meeting for the residents of Green Lake
Plaza. Seattle Housing Authority is embarking on this
major renovation project using a combination of
tax-credit financing and bond financing.

11, 2005—Seattle Housing has
sold 64 of its 71 Scattered-Site public
housing units identified for sale, and purchased 44 replacement
units in neighborhoods throughout the city, as part of a three-year
plan to adjust the mix of housing in its public housing Scattered-Sites portfolio.
