SEATTLE—September 29, 2004—Seattle
Housing is co-presenting the finale evening of CityClub's
Civic Participation month, entitled "From the
Greatest Generation to the Latest Generation" on
September 29. It is an interactive, intergenerational
evening that will both challenge and entertain its
participants. Elway Research, an event sponsor, is
providing electronic instant feedback devices to augment
discussion. The cost of the evening is just $15, and

Village
Square II provides 31 units of NewHolly replacement
housing
SEATTLE—September 27, 2004—Village
Square II is providing 31 units of family housing as part
of the NewHolly replacement housing program and is being
dedicated at 6 p.m. on September 29. These two- and
three-bedroom apartments are part of a new complex built by
the Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation
& Development Authority. The complex contains 57
apartments in all, along with a community center and a new

Resident
hiring remains a priority at SHA
SEATTLE—September 27, 2004—Helping residents to find employment remains an important
priority for the Seattle Housing Authority. By working
with the construction contractors at Rainier Vista, NewHolly and High Point, SHA has helped to connect residents with employers who
provide both jobs and training. Many residents have also
found jobs within the Housing Authority itself. For more
