Computer Access
SHA and our community partners operate six
computer technology centers in five SHA communities. These
computer labs offer comprehensive services designed to help
residents achieve long-term economic self-sufficiency.
The
Rainier Vista Technology Network
SHA was awarded a HOPE VI Neighborhood Networks
grant from HUD to establish the Rainier Vista Technology Network.
The overall goal of this grant is to decrease the digital divide for
Rainier Vista families. In partnership with community-based
agencies, the Network operates at two sites: The Neighborhood House
Rainier Vista Center and the Rainier Vista Boys and Girls Club.
Additional partners include Horn of Africa Services, the Seattle
Literacy Council, Deloitte Tax LLP, the Rainier Vista Leadership
Team, the Puget Sound Alliance for Community Technology, and the
City of Seattle Community Technology Program. In addition, SHA’s Job
Connection, now located in the Rainier Vista Center, coordinates
on-site employment services with the Network.
