Duties: Will assist in the operation, maintenance & repair of the hot water boiler, gas & oil fire equipment, valves, lines, radiation equipment and other equipment. Ability to follow verbal & written instructions; work harmoniously with staff, tenants & general public.  Ability to read & interpret mechanical plans and use good judgment.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent education as required by apprenticeship program.  WSDL and insurable driving record required. Must possess a valid Washington CFC license, and a valid Washington EL06B Electrical license. Union membership required within 30-days of hire date.

The Seattle Housing Authority, a nationally recognized leader in providing innovative affordable housing communities, is accepting applications for Landscape Maintenance/Pest Control Technician.

Duties:  Will perform a variety of grounds services within the field of general landscaping maintenance.  Install and maintain automatic grounds sprinkler systems. Operate power equipment such as riding and push lawn mowers, blowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, edgers, sod cutters, lawn aerators and 4-wheel all purpose vehicles.  Provide pest control services to single/multi family housing units when requested.

Requirements:  Experience performing general grounds-keeping or manual work involving construction or maintenance.  Proper use of grounds-keeping equipment, and able to perform sustained physical grounds work.  Must have a current WSDL PCO general/structural license and experience in residential/commercial pest control.  Valid WSDL & insurance with a safe, fully insurable driving record.  This position is covered by Trades Council Laborers Local 242.

Subject to assignments in other buildings.

Requirements: Must have experience in apartment management and the maintenance area and the ability to work with seniors and persons with disabilities. Will also need to exercise discretion in regard to duties that may require entry to residential units. Experience and knowledge of standard cleaning equipment. Applicants must pass a complete background check and reference investigation. Position is covered by Teamsters Local 117.
