Low Income Public Housing

The Low Income Public Housing program, or
LIPH, provides
low-rent units for families and individuals. Low Income
Public Housing units are located throughout Seattle, and
come in a range of sizes. Of the nearly 5,300 LIPH
units managed by SHA, about 2,300 are large enough for
families of two or more people, while about 3,000 are
suitable for families of one or two people. In general, Low Income Public Housing
residents pay 30 percent of their monthly adjusted income

Choosing where you want to live
SHA maintains site-specific waiting
lists for its Low Income Public Housing program. Applicants
may choose to be added to the waiting list for one or two
buildings.
Pets in public housing
All Low Income Public Housing buildings allow birds, fish, or one dog or one cat as a pet. Pets are subject to size limits and other regulations.
