Voucher program (Section 8)
Note to building owners and managers: Lists of units for rent are published and distributed by noon every Friday. To add a unit to a list, be sure to send us listing information no later than noon on the preceding Thursday. How to get the lists Customers may pick up free lists of units for rent to Housing Choice Voucher program (Section 8) voucher-holders at the PorchLight Housing Center or print them from our Web site. They are also disseminated to partner agencies across Seattle. (The lists are updated every Friday.) Sorry, we do not mail these lists. How to submit a listing Landlords participating in the Housing Choice Voucher program (Section 8) may advertise rental units for free on the program's "units for rent" lists. Please note that we only list units within the Seattle Housing Authority's jurisdiction (south of 145th, west of Lake Washington and north of Roxbury). You can submit a listing in any of three ways: 1. Submit a listing online Click on the link provided to submit your rental listing online. The online form is the fastest, most efficient way to submit a listing. Send us listing information by Thursday noon for publication by noon Friday. We will contact you only if there are problems with your submission. Click here to submit a rental listing online. 2. Submit a listing on a faxable paper form Click on the link provided to download and print the form for requesting a Housing Choice Voucher program (Section 8) rental listing. After you have completed the form, fax it to PorchLight at 206-239-1770 or mail it to us: PorchLight Housing Center, 907 NW Ballard Way, Suite 200, Seattle, WA 98107. Send us listing information by Thursday noon for publication by Friday noon. We will contact you only if there are problems with your submission. Click here to download a listing request form. 3. Submit a listing over the telephone To submit a listing over the telephone, call the PorchLight Housing Center's Housing Choice Voucher program (Section 8) listing line at 206-239-1663. Listen carefully to the recorded instructions and leave all required information after the tone. We check these messages daily. Call in your listing information by Thursday noon for publication by Friday noon. Please note that we will contact you only if there are problems with your submission. How to cancel a rental listing If you would like to remove a rental unit from
our lists, please send a message to mailroom_porchlight@seattlehousing.org.
Type "Cancel listing" in the subject line of your message,
and in the body of your message tell us the address of the
unit to be removed. Also, please include a contact name and
telephone number for the cancelled listing in case we have
questions about your request. Cancellations received by
Thursday noon will take effect by Friday noon. You may also call

to cancel a listing. |
