Located between First Hill and the International District and overlooking Downtown Seattle, Yesler Terrace is Seattle Housing Authority’s most urban family community.
The Yesler Community Center is located on site, and is home to a computer lab, fitness room, a full size gym, after school services, and a learning center with tutoring programs. The neighborhood also features community gardens, P-Patches, and a playfield.
Yesler Terrace is within walking distance of direct bus service to Downtown, First Hill, Capitol Hill, Montlake, the University District, the International District, Leschi, Columbia City, Rainier Beach, Beacon Hill, Georgetown, South Park, Queen Anne Hill, Wedgwood, Lake City, and Mercer Island. It is also located within a five-minute drive of I-5 and I-90, and within 10 minutes of Highways 99 and 520. Nearby public schools include Bailey Gatzert Elementary, Washington Middle, and Garfield High Schools.
