Lake City Commons completed

SEATTLE—August 30, 2003—SHA has completed construction on a 15-unit apartment building in the Lake City area and is now leasing units. This bond-financed building provides replacement housing for the NewHolly redevelopment project. For details on the new building, click here.

Relocated residents participate in survey

SEATTLE—August 14, 2003—Seniors who relocated from Holly Park, Rainier Vista and High Point were surveyed recently to determine how they were doing in their new homes. The redevelopment of these communities required that all residents relocate, which they did with assistance from SHA. Approximately 63 percent of the senior households responded to the survey; most seniors reported dong well in their new housing. Click here to learn more about the survey and the relocation efforts.

Rainier Vista ground breaking marks beginning of construction at redevelopment site

SEATTLE—August 13, 2003—A crowd of Rainier Vista residents, employees and well-wishers gathered on August 13 to mark the official beginning to the construction of the new Rainier Vista,  a 1,010-unit mixed-income Rainier Vista housing development in the Rainier Valley.
