Creative Chats in Community

Join the Seattle Housing Authority and the Seattle Public Library for an arts and community resources gathering on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1:00 PM. We will be making art and chatting about resources that make a difference in the lives of older adults.

October 10th at 1:00 PM: Acasa Pharmacy will be providing COVID boosters, Flu, Shingles, Pneumonia, Tdap, Hep A/B and HPV vaccines. If you have an insurance card, please bring it. Seniors Creating will be providing an art project.

September 12th at 1:00 PM: The Center for Multicultural Health will be providing blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol screenings and more! SilverKities Rachel Rene will return to make Wall Hanging Art (with wood, twine and beads). 

Digital Equity at High Point

Digital Navigators will be at Upton Flats in the High Point Community providing some services to pre-selected SHA residents and providing assistance with set up of devices. Additionally, they will help residents get free or low-cost internet, free Orca cards, and answer any other technology questions residents might have.

Seniors Creating Art

High Point Seniors, bring your creativity to Seniors Creating Art! This event will take place at Neighbor House located in the High Point Community. Meet us in room 207AB at 11:15 AM to 12:45 PM for some art and fellowship.

Tech Clinic

Residents are invited to bring their tech questions and devices to an open clinic run by volunteers.  All Island View Residents are welcome!

Tai Chi Quan

Interested in improving your balance? Tai Chi Quan is an evidence-backed program that helps improve people's stability. It has been shown in many studies to help prevent falls. Please join the Full Life Care instructor, Erika Stover, and take part in Tai Chi Quan: Moving For Bettter Balance. Only SSHP residents are welcome.
