Public comment invited on 2018 Moving to Work Plan and Budget

The Seattle Housing Authority is one of 39 housing authorities across the country participating in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Moving to Work program, which allows the agency to test innovative methods to improve housing services and to better meet local needs. As a participant in MTW, Seattle Housing Authority may also propose and implement alternatives to federal regulations for certain issues spelled out in an agreement between HUD and the agency.

Each year the agency adopts a plan that describes activities planned for the following year. At the end of the year, the agency prepares a report describing its accomplishments. In the annual plan for 2018, Seattle Housing Authority has identified several objectives. The Plan Summary highlights key activities for 2018, which are described further in the complete plan.

Public comment: Seattle Housing Authority is accepting comments on the Draft 2018 MTW Annual Plan and Proposed Budget through September 29, 2017. See a 2018 MTW Plan Summary.

Public hearing: A public hearing will be held on September 13 at 2:30 pm at the Central Office, located at 190 Queen Anne Ave. N. The agency will present the draft plan and budget and take testimony from the public.
