Opportunity to revoke educational data sharing
The Seattle Housing Authority (SHA), Seattle University (SU) and Seattle School District are partners in the Choice Neighborhood collaborative, a regional collective-impact initiative centered around the Yesler Terrace public housing community. As part of this effort, SHA and SU partner with local organizations and nonprofits to create a cradle-to-career pipeline of learning resources for children and youth to significantly improve high school and college graduation rates. The current Choice Neighborhood Partners include: SHA, SU, the Seattle School District, Catholic Community Services, Washington Building Leaders of Change, Therapeutic Health Services and the Seattle Parks & Recreation Out of School Time Office.
Parents provide written consent for the Choice Neighborhood Partners to work together to address each child’s specific academic and social needs. The goal is to coordinate services and supports so each child is provided the best opportunity to succeed. If you are a parent or guardian and no longer wish to allow the Choice Neighborhood Partners to share information about your child with each other in this coordination of services, please contact us at Choiceeducation@seattleu.edu
