STAR Center reopens at Center Park

The Seattle Housing Authority supports the STAR of Seattle (Special Technology Access Resource), a computer lab for people with disabilities. The STAR Center is located at Center Park Annex and is open to residents on Tuesdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Each computer includes upgraded accessibility tools like JAWS, ZoomText, braille embosser and NVDA for those who have low vision or are blind.
The STAR Center is seeking volunteers to be lab supervisors. Their responsibilities include welcoming visitors, opening and closing the lab and enforcing rules when needed.
