SDOT encourages residents to stay informed and prepared during winter weather.  

• Plan ahead: Check SDOT’s real-time Winter Weather Map for updates on road conditions and plowing progress.  
• Drive Safely: Use winter tires or chains, reduce your speed, and avoid steep hills when conditions are icy.  
• Walk and bike with caution: Wear appropriate footwear and use designated pathways. Be extra careful around wet or icy areas.
