New year, new trees

SHA partnered with the Seattle Department of Transportation and the Seattle Public Utilities to plant new trees at NewHolly, Barton Place, Martin Luther King Jr. Apartments and some smaller SHA properties.
Planting new trees help keep neighborhoods cooler, improve air quality and create safer shaded spaces for kids to play and tenants to gather.
This year, SHA focused on planting trees in areas with less greenery and greater environmental health challenges. These trees will make a difference by reducing heat, cleaning the air and supporting a healthier community.
