Earn Free College Tuition, Paid Internship Through the Learning Center Seattle 

The Learning Center Seattle’s Open Doors Program is designed to provide support and services to individuals seeking educational, vocational, and career opportunities. It aims to assist participants between the ages of 16-21 in achieving their personal and professional goals.   

Open Doors Program Services

The program assists with a myriad of services including: 

  • Free GED testing 
  • Free tuition for AA degrees (or college classes if students age out before finishing) at any of our campuses (Central, North, and South). 
  • Paid internships for eligible students. 
  • Job Readiness training and career exploration. 
  • Support with transitioning to college after earning a GED. Students with a GED are eligible to enroll to take college classes. 
  • Support from the Bridges U team for students with an IEP or 504 plan. Support to apply for GED testing or college accommodations.  
  • Support with paying for personal documents (WA state ID, Driver’s license, birth certificate) and requesting Social Security card replacement.  
  • Mental Health and substance abuse counseling through partnership with WAPI community services. 
  • Free ORCA card for the school year.
