SHA is teaming up with others on a food program that provides meals for 875 elderly and disabled residents in five SHA communities: High Point, Rainier Vista, NewHolly, Yesler and Lake City Court.

Amazon is paying for the meals to be prepared by their corporate caterer Gourmondo and delivered to the five sites each Monday, Wednesday and Friday for four weeks.  SHA staff receive the meals and do contactless delivery to each unit.  SHA is working with other community partners to expand meal delivery to many more SHA tenants in need.

Ann, an SHA resident, is grateful for the food program during this time. "On behalf of the residents at the Yesler Terrace, I appreciate your concerns and kindness to bring delicious and healthy food to our doors. We feel warm and safe because the SHA Management is taking good care of us during the stay at home order to avoid being exposed to coronavirus," she said.

If you do not have access to food and are hungry, let SHA know at 206.239.1589 if you are an SHA residents and 206.239.1728 if you are an HCV participant. SHA will also be conducting wellness check calls for with potentially more vulnerable SHA residents.
