BY ELISA MURRAY, THE SEATTLE PUBLIC LIBRARY
School’s almost out and The Seattle Public Library is here for you!
This summer, the Library is launching a new summer program called Summer Quest. Summer Quest invites kids, teens, and adults to explore reading, learning, and creativity through activities and programs all summer. You can win prizes, too.
How to get started on Summer Quest
Pick up your Summer Quest tracker at any Library location starting on Monday, June 15 to get started. Or you can download a tracker online and find reading suggestions at www.spl.org/SummerQuest.
After tracking 15 days of reading and activities, kids can show their trackers at their Library branch to get their names on a Wall of Fame. After completing 30 days of reading and activities, kids will receive a free book AND get entered to win a raffle for a free pizza party at PlayDate SEA, a fun indoor play area in downtown Seattle.
Also, any child who picks up a Summer Quest tracker at a Library location will get a free admission to PlayDate SEA.
Teens and adults can pick up their own Summer Quest trackers. After 30 days of logging activities, teens will earn five free wings at Wingstop and can be entered in a raffle for a $30 gift card to the FriendShop.
Adults who finish their SummerQuest can be entered to win a free Kobo e-reader!
Fun programs including magic, music, story times and more
The Library has planned dozens of free Summer Quest programs at Library locations across the city including piñata workshops, magic shows, music performances, filmmaking workshops, art workshops, dance classes and more.
Check www.spl.org/calendar to see what’s happening at your branch.
We’d love to see you at your Library this summer! Find out more at www.spl.org/SummerQuest.
