Ways to save water at home

Save water stock

By Mahilet Tito, SHA Sustainability Intern

Saving water at home is a simple way to lower your utility bills, protect local water sources and reduce energy use. This also helps ensure clean water for future generations.

Here are a few ways to make a difference:

  • Take shorter showers

  • Turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth

  • Thaw frozen food in the fridge, not under running water

  • Run full loads when washing laundry or dishes
