Seattle Somali community celebrates new series of bilingual children's books

The Somali Family Safety Task Force will host a celebration for their self-published children's books on Friday, Jan. 27 at the NewHolly Gathering Hall from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The community based organization has self-published other children's books that can be found in Washington public schools, early learning centers, bookstores and various Seattle Public Library locations. The free event includes storytelling, book signing by the authors, Somali food and cultural displays, hands-on art and literacy activities for children and speakers from the refugee/immigrant and education community.
