SHA conducts wellness checks with vulnerable tenants

SHA is calling nearly 5,000 elderly and vulnerable tenants to check in and find out how they are doing during the coronavirus crisis. Callers are asking if tenants have enough food and medicine, and are connecting them with services and resources if needed. 

Wellness callers report that, in general, tenants are worried but calm, well-prepared and maintaining social distancing, and were appreciative of being called.

“I’ve been so happy to hear how well the tenants are doing as far as food and medication and they are reporting that their healthcare and mental healthcare teams are responding,” said an SHA staffer making calls.
