SHA makes Yesler site available for use as a King County shelter

To aid in the coronavirus emergency response effort, the Seattle Housing Authority has made a site available for a King County shelter, freeing up the shelter’s current location for use as a COVID-19 recovery area. Harborview Hall, across the street from Harborview Medical Center, is being repurposed to serve as a 45-bed recovery site for vulnerable COVID-19 patients. The former King County Records warehouse, purchased by SHA in 2017 as part of Yesler redevelopment, now houses the relocated shelter managed by the Salvation Army.
