Neighborhood leaders seek opportunities to offer hospitality to their neighbors while celebrating those who have called Yesler home. Various neighbors and groups across Yesler will provide samples of their favorite appetizers and refreshments.

Every year, Seattle Housing Authority awards at least two $1,000 Dream Big! Scholarships to students living in SHA subsidized housing. Scholarships are awarded by the SHA Higher Education Project committee to students who demonstrate great persistence, strength of character and growth through their high school and college careers. This year’s Dream Big! Scholarship winners range from high school seniors to college juniors and all will attend college full time in the 2019-2020 school year. The 2019 Dream Big! Scholars are: Hermela, Osman, Mariam, Khadra, Derrick, and Muna.

Join the Yesler Terrace neighborhood for a Community Movie Night hosted by the Yesler Terrace Owners' Association (YTOA). On August 2, from 8:30 - 10:30 PM, we will be showing "The Goonies." The Community Movie Nights will be hosted on the great lawn at Yesler Terrace Park.
