Celebrating two new RAVE soccer fields at NewHolly

The Seattle Housing Authority partnered with the Seattle Sounders FC and RAVE Foundation to build two new soccer fields at NewHolly. Families and community partners attended the celebration at NewHolly’s RAVE soccer field on May 24.  

The free event included activities for youth such as Soccer Kung Fu, Soccer of Frei, Basketball Skills and Drills, entertainment by The Residency and more. Speakers at the event included SHA Executive Director Rod Brandon, Deputy Mayor of Seattle Greg Wong, Seattle City Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda, Seattle World Cup Local Organizing Committee Peter Tomozawa, Sounders FC Head Coach Brian Schmetzer and major donor Thach Nguyen.
