SEATTLE—December 15, 2005—Private homebuilders are building and selling homes in Seattle Housing's communities as fast as they can be brought to market. The demand for Polygon Northwest's new homes at High Point has followed their offerings at Othello Station in NewHolly. Once again, potential home buyers waited in advance of the initial offering to ensure their place in Polygon's first-come, first-served pre-sales.
At High Point, Polygon Northwest has been joined by four of the Northwest's most respected homebuilders. Together these builders have created plans for a wide variety of new homes; they will offer old-Seattle-style carriage homes, condominiums, town homes and two-, three-, and four-bedroom single family homes.
“We’re very excited about this opportunity to be part of High Point,” noted Eric Wells, President of Polygon Northwest Company. “High Point represents an outstanding value for homebuyers in terms of being able to buy a new home inside the city of Seattle and to be part of the dynamic, charming and established West Seattle neighborhood.”
Devland, Inc. will offer a series of single-family homes directly across from High Point's 5.3-acre park. Saltaire is offering 14 new town homes designed by Mithun Architects.
The Dwelling Company’s 34 contemporary Lanham Place Town Homes will be nestled into the neighborhood and some will offer views of the Puget Sound, Cascades and the Seattle skyline.
Homes for sale at Rainier Vista have also been greeted by homebuyers with great success. Already, The Dwelling Company has sold five of their bungalows before completing any one of them. These two- and three bedroom homes are priced from the mid-$300,000s.
Interest in Martha Rose's 13 EnergyStar town homes is high. Dozens of potential buyers joined Martha and her Greenworks Realty team for a "Behind the Walls" tour of the town homes still under construction.
Bennett-Sherman LLC, a collaboration between Bennett Homes and Sherman Homes, is offering new homes at Rainier Vista. Their single-family homes will be priced at the mid-$400,000s and their town homes will be priced at the mid-$200,000s.
At Othello Station, Polygon Northwest continues to sell their homes that opened on the market in mid-January. As of December 9, Bennett-Sherman LLC had only three of their 24 homes at Othello Station still on the market. These homes offer four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, dens, bonus rooms and two-car garages. They are being offered from the mid- to high-$400,000s.
