NewHolly Phase 1 construction making progress

As of January 2018, NewHolly Phase 1 construction is in its fourteenth month and there are a number of recent milestones to report. The exterior work in Phase A (north of South Holly Street) is nearing completion with new siding and roofs installed on many of the buildings. Siding work continues in Phase B, focusing on South Holly Place and South Brighton Street, where they are installing weather proofing and new plank siding, while roofing crews are progressing in Phase C along South Willow Street. Many buildings were painted this last fall in Phase A. However, painting has paused during winter months due to weather.

Weekday work hours remain the same on site. Please be careful of forklifts and storage trailers on the site and respect the cones and construction zone signs on your street between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Charter Construction and Seattle Housing Authority will continue to update residents on upcoming construction impacts as well as inform the community about important changes to the buildings’ maintenance and on street parking guidelines. The notices posted to your door provide instructions as to when to remove satellite dishes, internet cables, and personal items on decks to allow construction to proceed.

If you have any questions regarding work in your area, please reach out to the project’s Resident Liaison, Liam Tevlin (liam.tevlin@seattlehousing.org, 206.245.8106).
