Charter Construction has begun reseeding some of its work areas and replacing fencing in Phases A and B and will continue to do so until all contractors have demobilized and the site is returned to its pre-construction state. Finally, missing or damaged shingles, siding plank, or window sills will be repaired as part of the “punch” process and residents may notice contractors throughout all three phases inspecting past work. If you have noticed any damages to the exterior of a building or any interior drywall damages, please report this information to the project’s Resident Liaison as soon as possible.
Be aware that forklifts and storage trailers remain on site and SHA asks that you respect the cones and construction zone signs on the street between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Please remember it is important to remove vehicles from driveways when painting is in progress so that workers can access the building. Additionally, please pay attention to No Parking signs across from dumpsters to keep spaces clear for emergency vehicles and construction material deliveries. Notices posted on your door provide instructions about when to move your vehicles and how to properly park them in a construction zone. In addition, you’ll find information about what you may need to do with satellite dishes, internet cables, and personal items that may prevent construction from proceeding.
As a final reminder, please refrain from using window AC units like the one shown in the photo. Detached AC units with appropriate window attachments are allowed and are fire-safe. The NewHolly management team can help you find these in your area.
If you have any questions regarding work in your area, please reach out to the project’s Resident Liaison, Liam Tevlin (liam.tevlin@seattlehousing.org, 206.245.8106).
