Through a partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound, clothing donation bins have been placed at select SHA properties, providing a convenient and environmentally friendly way to give new life to gently used clothes. Donating unwanted clothes helps clear out space at home and contribute to a sustainable initiative that benefits the community.

Where to find clothing donation bins?

Clothing donation bins have been installed at the following SHA properties:

  • Fremont Place
  • NewHolly Gathering Hall (Near the ballot drop box)
  • Phinney Terrace
  • Rainier Vista (Central Park)
  • Schwabacher House
  • South Park Manor
  • Stewart Manor
  • Yesler (Near the stairway to the east of the Epstein Opportunity Center)

The clothing bin is placed near a designated indoor or outdoor location approved by SHA property management.

What can you donate?

  • Gently used clothing (all sizes and types).
  • Shoes, accessories and household textiles (sheets, blankets, towels etc.).

Why donate?

Donating is an impactful way to:

  • Declutter your home: Free up space by donating clothes and linens.
  • Reduce waste: Keep textiles out of landfills and contribute to a healthier environment.
  • Support a worthy cause: Proceeds from donations help fund youth mentorship programs through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound.
