Renovation at Longfellow Creek progresses

Seattle Housing Authority and CDK Construction are moving full speed ahead with work at Longfellow Creek. Construction crews have stripped the interiors of buildings E and F and will begin at building G in early spring. Structural work has begun in some of the units where wall board or new window frames are being added. Bathroom fixtures and new vinyl flooring will be installed in the remaining units once new cabinets and appliances have been delivered. When completed, the two bedroom units in building E will be the first rehabilitated units to be reoccupied while CDK finishes nearby building F and begins at building G. SHA is overseeing the landscape work and tree trimming to clean up the site for ongoing construction activity.

Residents will notice a number of dumpsters on site. These are for CDK’s use only and residents should continue to use the existing recycling and garbage bins in the fenced areas. SHA has arranged for a dumpster to be made available for moving tenants the first week of March. It will be clearly marked and will be on site for three days for residents to use if they need to dump unwanted items during the moving process.

Please be aware of delivery trucks or fork lifts on site and obey No-Parking and Construction Zone signs placed by CDK.  Residents can contact their property management staff at their new consolidated location at Wisteria Court (7544 24th Ave SW apt #1 206.763.3076) about the ongoing relocation efforts. If you have questions regarding construction, please reach out to Liam Tevlin, the project’s Resident Communications Liaison (206.245.8106, liam.tevlin@seattlehousing.org).
