The Seattle Housing Authority (SHA) is partnering with Neighborhood House in hosting two community meetings with Jesús Aguirre, who was appointed earlier this year by Seattle Mayor Ed Murray as Superintendent of Seattle Parks and Recreation.
Aguirre relocated to Seattle from Washington DC, where he managed that city’s department of parks and recreation. In an effort to get to know Seattle’s parks and facilities, and the city’s neighborhoods and people, Aguirre is conducting a Listening Tour to hear from community members about their experiences – positive and negative, their desires for the parks and recreation system and ideas to make improvements at the department.
The public is invited to two community sessions to meet with Superintendent Aguirre, hosted by the Seattle Housing Authority and Neighborhood House.
