The Comment Period is closed. Thank you for your contributions.

Residents, voucher holders, partners and community members are invited to comment on the Seattle Housing Authority’s 2020 Proposed Budget and 2020 Moving to Work (MTW) Annual Plan. The Budget and Plan outline the agency’s priorities and resources for the coming year. The 2020 Proposed Budget and Plan are available on SHA’s website and open for comment from August 30, 2019 through September 30, 2019. To request a paper copy, email mtw@seattlehousing.org or call 206.239.1528.

SHA will hold a Public Meeting to discuss the Proposed Budget and Plan at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2019 in the first floor Jesse Epstein Conference Room at SHA’s main office at 190 Queen Anne Ave N in Seattle. In addition, SHA staff will meet with public housing residents who serve on the Joint Policy Advisory Committee (JPAC) and the Seattle Senior Housing Project (SSHP) Advisory Committee during their regularly scheduled meetings in September.

Comments can be sent by email to mtw@seattlehousing.org, or by postal mail to Seattle Housing Authority ATTN: Policy Department, 190 Queen Anne Ave N, PO Box 19028, Seattle, WA 98109.

After the comment period closes on September 30, staff will brief the SHA Board of Commissioners on all comments received. This may result in modifications to the Plan or Budget. At the Board of Commissioners scheduled Board Meeting on October 14, the Board will vote on adoption of the 2020 Proposed Budget and Plan. If adopted by the Board, the MTW Plan will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for final approval.
