Click here Hinoki, SHA's fifth new residential building at Yesler opens with 136 affordable housing units SHA celebrated the Grand Opening of Hinoki, its fifth new residential building in the redevelopment of Yesler Terrace on July 26. The seven-story building features 136 units of housing affordable to people with low incomes. Located at 110 10th Ave S at the corner of E Yesler Way and 10th Ave. S., the building is across the street from the Yesler Terrace Community Center and Park. With the completion of HInoki, SHA is well over halfway in replacement of the 561 older public housing units at Yesler, a 30-acre site near downtown Seattle initially developed by the Seattle Housing Authority in the early 1940s as the state’s first publicly subsidized housing. Commercial space suitable for preschool or childcare services is available in SHA's NewHolly Family Building SHA has a non-residential, commercial space available for lease in the southeast area of Seattle in the NewHolly community. SHA is seeking for-profit or nonprofit organizations that will enhance the area and best serve NewHolly residents. Lease terms and rents may be negotiated to reflect community benefit.
