HUD’s Foster Youth to Independence vouchers will be used to provide housing to young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 years old who left foster care or will leave foster care in the next 90 days and are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Seattle Parks and Recreation summer hiring event
Seattle Parks and Recreation is hosting a hiring event on Saturday, May 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Miller Community Center. Temporary positions are available throughout the year. GOV. JAY INSLEE VISITS YESLER ON EARTH DAY
On April 22, Gov. Jay Inslee visited Yesler to announce $156 million in federal funding for solar energy for people with low incomes. Regional Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency Casey Sixkiller, SHA Executive Director Rod Brandon, Seattle City Councilmember Tanya Woo and Washington State Governor Jay Inslee were speakers at the press conference.
