Macklemore & Ryan Lewis offer a free music program for teens

The Residency is a collaboration between Arts Corps, MoPOP and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. The program is for youth ages 16-19 who have a desire to pursue hip-hop and music as a career. All participants receive: Fully-funded four-week instruction, $600 stipend upon completion, professional studio recording of their original music, complimentary bus tokens and daily lunch. This opportunity is open to 45 teen artists from the greater Seattle area who meet the King County low-income verification. The following forms of low-income verification are accepted: Free and reduced lunch voucher, proof of TANF or state assistance, last two pay stubs.
