SHA residents: Changes to SHA operations

Property management offices are reopening

As of June 1, 2022, all property management offices will be open by appointment. Walk-ins are welcome when staff are present and available but to ensure a staff member is there with time to meet with you, you are encouraged to call or email your property management team for an appointment.

You can go to our website at seattlehousing.org, click on Contact Us, then Contact Your Property Manager.

Phasing out COVID call centers

At the start of the pandemic when SHA had to close offices to in-person service, we redirected staff to special call centers set up to make sure residents could still reach us and be served in a timely way. As staff return to property management offices, we are phasing out the temporary COVID call centers (206.239.1589 and 206.239.1590) and they will no longer be active after June 1, 2022. Please call your property management office or use Contact Us on the SHA website.

Rent payment

We are grateful that we were able to access rent relief for our residents behind on rent due to COVID through the King County Rent Assistance Program. With that program now closed, in July 2022 SHA will resume issuing Notices of Non-Payment of Rent for those households with unpaid rent balances. If you have questions about your rent or are having trouble paying your rent, please reach out right away to your property management team. We can offer payment plans, provide potential community resources and make referrals to support service agencies.

While most government health orders and directives have been lifted and SHA is returning some in-person services, the pandemic is not over and we suggest you consider continuing safety measures such as face coverings and social distancing to stay safe and reduce transmission of the virus.

We appreciate serving you as an SHA resident and encourage you to contact your property management team with any questions or concerns.
