In response to new public health guidance, SHA has changed protocols for face coverings in SHA buildings. Residents who are vaccinated may now choose not to wear a face covering in indoor common areas. Unvaccinated residents must continue to wear a face-covering indoors. Outdoors, unvaccinated residents should wear a face covering if they are not able to maintain six feet of distance from others. All residents are encouraged to wear a face covering whenever they are around children and youth.
Also, now that Governor Jay Inslee has lifted most state restrictions and Public Health - Seattle & King County has changed their face mask directive, there are many changes for individuals and businesses throughout our area. It's important to know as well that businesses can still choose to require face coverings and that they are still required in certain settings such as schools and childcare centers. Learn more at the links below about what re-opening means, when you still have to wear a face covering, where to get help if you’re finding changes or confusion about them stressful and where you can get your free vaccination if you have not yet been vaccinated for COVID-19.
