Volunteers place 600 plants in Day of Service at Rainier Vista

More than 70 volunteers turned out for a Day of Service in Rainier Vista on April 22 to plant 600 new starts, help with landscaping and cleanup of the community. The Earth Day project was made possible through the efforts of Georgianna Chamberlain of CWD Group, the private property management company in Rainier Vista East.  Chamberlain applied for and received funding from the Washington State Chapter of Community Associations Institute. Volunteers cleared ground, spread new soil, placed starts and even swapped plants from one area to another to improve traffic visibility near medians.
