VACCINATIONS FOR SEATTLE PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS

The Seattle Fire Department and Seattle Public Schools are partnering to offer COVID-19 vaccinations to every public middle and high school student before the end of the school year. Pfizer is the only approved vaccine for anyone age 12 and older. Learn more about in-school vaccinations.

SHA residents: Continue to wear face coverings in SHA buildings

SHA is following the Public Health- Seattle & King County health directives and has not changed COVID-19 policies and practices. Face coverings and social distancing are still required when residents are in indoor common area spaces, such as elevators, hallways, lobbies and offices. Partnering with the City of Seattle and the Seattle Fire Department mobile teams, Seattle Housing Authority was able to host 129 on-site clinics at SHA properties to vaccinate nearly 3,000 residents against COVID-19. SHA prioritized buildings with high populations of people of color, seniors and other vulnerable individuals who have statistically been more susceptible to the virus and have experienced greater barriers to health care, including access to vaccination. Seattle Chinatown International District PDA and Community Roots Housing to build new homes for families at Yesler

The Seattle Housing Authority has partnered with Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority and Community Roots Housing to build new homes designed for families at the intersection of 13th Avenue and E. Yesler Way. The building will have 156 units of affordable apartments and childcare.
