Request for Proposals

The selected Consultant(s) shall perform all City of Seattle required Material Testing and Special Inspection Services as required by the permits associated with SHA Contracts, Permits, and Work Orders. NOTE:  Geotechnical inspection services are not included in this scope and will be performed by others.

SHA expects to award two (2) Contracts. The award of the two Contracts will be decided by the overall top scores for all criteria.

The selected Consultant shall be asked to perform services as described below.

City of Seattle permit requirements for typical Material Testing and Special Inspection Services for various small projects and typical special inspections related to apartment construction including but not limited to, multi-family, five floors of wood framed construction over 1-2 floors of concrete super structure.

Specific tasks include but are not limited to:

• 1.         Concrete Inspection & Pick ups
• 2.         Concrete Samples & Breaks
• 3.         PT Concrete Inspection
• 4.         Masonry Inspection
• 5.         Masonry Prisms
• 6.         Lateral Framing Inspection
• 7.         Proprietary Anchor Inspection
• 8.         Structural Steel Fabrication Inspection
• 9.         Structural Steel Erection Inspection
• 10.       Final Report
• 11.       All other services normally provided by Construction Special Inspectors for which licensure by the State of  Washington as a professional inspector is required or normally provided.

SHA is now seeking a qualified Proposer to configure and implement an ERP/HCM system. The new software platform will be used to support the Finance, and Human Resource functions within the organization.  

The Seattle Housing Authority (SHA) is soliciting proposals from experienced General Contractors to remove existing analog (POTS) emergency elevator phones and replace these analog phones with updated cellular emergency phones.  The Contractor will also be responsible for monitoring the emergency elevator phones and providing operator services to dispatch local emergency response services as well as contacting SHA's elevator service provider to respond in a timely manner in event of entrapments in the elevators.

The Seattle Housing Authority (SHA) is seeking a qualified professional firm to provide legal representation to SHA with respect to the acquisition, development, financing, construction and operation of low-income housing projects.

SHA is seeking a qualified professional firm to provide bond counsel services to SHA on revenue-bond financing including legal expertise necessary for SHA to issue bonds and to carry out financing activities allowed under applicable state and federal law and to assist SHA with preparation and review of documents as requested by SHA.

Security services for SHA's garden communities.

The Seattle Housing Authority (SHA) is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to assist SHA to provide, install and support operation of two full-service package locker systems within two separate Seattle Housing Authority Yesler Terrace buildings located in the greater Seattle area. Vendor shall maximize each room’s full potential and offer either through a lease agreement or purchase agreement to supply lockers and provide locker operation services options for SHA to consider which support the full operation, security, management, technical operation, and physical maintenance at each location.
