Most experts recommend double masking

The new COVID-19 variant strain called B117 has been detected in Washington. The B117 strain spreads easily and quickly became the dominant strain in the United Kingdom. The CDC recently predicted the B117 strain will be the predominant strain in the U.S. by March. It’s more important than ever to stop the spread of COVID-19 (even if you've been vaccinated) by wearing a well-fitted face mask, staying six feet apart from others and avoiding gatherings with people outside of your household, washing your hands often and not going into crowded indoor spaces.

Most medical experts suggest wearing a double mask. If you choose to double mask using a higher-grade, more snug-fitting mask, such as a KN95, it should be worn as the first layer, with a cloth or other type of mask as the outer layer so that it doesn’t compromise the seal against the skin of the more form-fitting mask.

If you think you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 or have symptoms of COVID-19, it’s important to get tested.

If you are eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine you can schedule an appointment at these vaccine locations. Vaccines clinics are open based on the supply, so check back often.
