Need funds to help people get internet access, devices and skills? Apply for a grant

The application period for the City of Seattle’s Technology Matching Fund grant is now open for 2021. Applications are due at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021. Community organizations, nonprofits and neighborhood groups are encouraged to apply for grants up to $25,000 each. The grants are designed to help improve digital equity through projects that support the community. The City seeks applications for projects designed to improve digital literacy, provide affordable devices, and increase free or low-cost broadband access. City funds are matched by the community’s contribution of volunteer labor, materials, professional services, or funding.

A virtual informational workshop will be held on Dec. 5 to learn more about the application process and guidelines. First-time applicants are encouraged to attend.
