SHA and Vulcan Real Estate will host a small community gathering to celebrate the opening of the new pocket park and the Red Cedar and Cypress buildings.  There will be food and an interactive arts activity planned.  The celebration begins at 5:00 PM.  A brief program will begin at 6:00 PM.

Juneteenth is the holiday that commemorates the June 19, 1865 announcement of the abolition of slavery in the United States.  At Yesler, the community has celebrated Juneteenth for many years.  The celebration features performances, speakers, food, and fun activities.
