Community Art Celebration

The Yesler Blossoms sculpture will be celebrated on the morning of Thursday, November 29 at 9:00 AM off Yesler between 8th Ave and Broadway (between Raven Terrace and Batik buildings).  Please join Yesler neighbors and the artists (Dan Barsher and Alessandra Panieri).  We would like to thank Andersen Construction for their hard work to install the piece, as well as other contributors.  Coffee and Light snacks will be provided by Tougo Coffee.

Developed by the artists with input from local residents, Yesler Blossoms celebrates the growth and experiences of the neighborhood. Cardinal directions (North, South, East, West) and the use of original paving stones from old Yesler Terrace point to the community’s rich and diverse cultural histories, while the flowers and the root forms are inspired by the residents’ love of gardening. Seating provides a space to come together and enjoy the view.
